Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Wren, the app, doesn’t have a server. There’s no account to create, nothing about your tasks is tracked, and none of it ever leaves your phone. This policy explains, plainly, the limited access Wren asks for, and the one thing this website measures.

The short version

  • Your tasks, tags, and notes are stored locally on your device only.
  • The Wren app has no backend server and does not transmit your data anywhere.
  • There’s no account, sign-in, or email address required to use Wren.
  • The app uses no third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
  • This website (not the app) uses privacy-first, cookieless analytics, with no personal data, explained below.

Calendar access

If you turn on calendar integration, Wren reads your device’s calendar events (via Apple’s EventKit) so they can appear alongside your tasks on the Today screen. This is completely optional. You choose whether to connect your calendar.

When connected, Wren only reads events to display them in the app. It never creates, changes, or deletes anything in your calendar, and it does not copy, upload, or store your events anywhere outside the app.

You can revoke calendar access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars. If you don’t connect your calendar, Wren works exactly the same for your tasks. It simply won’t show the calendar section.

Data you enter

Task titles, tags, dates, and notes you create in Wren are stored locally on your device. If you have iCloud or device backups turned on, this data is included in those backups the same way any other app’s data would be.

Wren has no access to that backup data. It’s managed entirely by Apple’s iOS backup system, not by us.

What the app doesn’t do

  • We don’t collect your name, email, or contact information.
  • We don’t use cookies, trackers, or third-party SDKs in the app.
  • We don’t sell or share data, because we don’t have any to sell.
  • We don’t run ads.

This website

This website is a simple, static page. To get a rough sense of how many people visit and which pages are useful, it uses Vercel Web Analytics. It’s privacy-first: it sets no cookies, stores no personal data, and cannot identify you or track you across other sites.

The “Join waitlist” button links to a signup form hosted by a third party. If you choose to enter your email there, it’s handled on that page under its own privacy terms, and no email address is ever stored on this website.

Children’s privacy

Wren is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age. There’s simply nothing collected in the first place.

Changes to this policy

If Wren’s premium tier introduces new features like optional cloud sync, this policy will be updated first, and any new data practice will be clearly explained and opt-in, never on by default.
